"Do not grieve or complain that you were born in a time when you can no longer see God in the flesh. He did not in fact take this privilege from you. As He says: 'Whatever you have done to the least of my brothers, you did to me.'"
Saint Augustine of HippoIn 2022, 12.8 percent of U.S. households were food insecure at least some of the time during the year, meaning they had difficulty providing enough food for all their members because of lack of resources. Too often, our Seniors and working poor with and without children, must make hard choices between eating, housing, utilities, etc.
Because we are a community of faith, our response to this reality has been to create the Community and Comfort Fellowship Ministry. This unique ministry, through which the parish and St. Vincent de Paul have joint ventured to offer healthy, nutritious and satisfying meals to the most vulnerable members of our Toms River community.
