“On the lips of the catechist the first proclamation must ring out over and over: ‘Jesus Christ loves you; he gave his life to save you; and now he is living at your side every day to enlighten, strengthen and free you.’ "
Pope Francis, The Joy of the Gospel
Our aim of Religious Education for Children is not to produce students who master all the Catholic Doctrine, but rather to provide an environment in which young people, along with their parents, learn about their Catholic identity and traditions to be able to make a faith response to the invitation to live as disciples of Jesus, continuing His mission and putting faith into action.
Religious Education begins in 1st Grade here at St. Luke's RC Church.
We have Monday and Wednesday session options for our families.
Grades 1 - 5 meet twice per month from 5:30pm-6:30pm on either Mon. or Wed.
Grades 6 - 8 meet twice per month from 6:45pm-8:15pm on either Mon. or Wed.
Our Sacramental Prep program for First Penance and First Holy Communion is most usually completed during 2nd grade.
Our Confirmation Prep program is a two-year long process. Through grades 7-8, we prepare your teen to receive their final Sacrament of Initiation.
To meet the growing needs of our busy families, we offer a Summer Intensive Program for children in grades 3 - 6 ONLY the week of July 8-12, 2024 from 9am-3:30pm each day.
